Most " 30" Greenpeace released , international justice demands that they leave Russia

Almost all members of the crew of the Arctic- Sunrise, Greenpeace vessel boarded in September in Russia, were released from jail on bail Friday, November 22 , but international justice demanded that they too can leave the country. Russian diplomacy was quick to declare that it does not recognize the competence of the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea , which issued the request.
By late afternoon , 29 of the 30 crew members of the ship , including the captain , were released from prison , receiving bail after more than two months in custody in Russia.

The Court of the sea, a UN jurisdiction competent to settle the Hamburg-based international maritime disputes , had been seized by the Netherlands . Russian diplomacy has already said that Moscow , which has boycotted the trial , did not recognize in this case the jurisdiction of the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea , which encroaches on it according to its " sovereign right " .
